Reverse Psychology Works

For a full two days after the Harvest Fair I was mentally and physically wiped.  I don't think I could have cooked a meal if my life depended on it.  Pip said he wanted to go out to eat Sunday night and I was all for it.  Well, until as the day wore on he and Viv, and even Meg, were beasts.  We were thinking it would be a disaster but didn't have much of an appealing plan B (PB&J?).

So I tried reverse psychology and told Pip and Viv and Meg to cry the entire time at dinner.  For show I told Phil to do it too.  Pip and Viv had fun squealing that "NO!  WE CAN'T DO THAT!", forgetting entirely to whine constantly.

We ended up having a great time at the 99.  Where kids eat free Sundays in October.  Bonus!  Here we are as we were leaving, voluntarily I might add!  Oh, probably helped that I also threatened to give away the Angry Birds they each got to bring along to the closest child should they misbehave.
