Day 1

Day 1 at the hospital ... Megan was wide awake on arrival, staring me down. She latched on immediately and got a nice full belly right away. After we got settled in our recovery room, we sent her to the nursery so we could rest ourselves. Megan gave us a solid 5 hours of sleep after she arrived (wow!) so we both felt much better. In fact, we were both awake and wondering why they hadn't brought her back yet before she needed us! Phil went home to collect the troops . I was very happy to have everyone come visit us. Here are Pip and Viv meeting her for the first time. Pip was concerned about her belly button ... a bit yucky!  

 He even shared Seal Peal with her.

   

Grandma of course cried immediately.

  

Megan mostly slept through it all.
