Rockport in the winter!

Thanks to Lora Brown for this wonderful idea.  She suggested heading to the beach and at first we were skeptical, but then we figured why not?  It was probably in the 40's which seems downright balmy after the long winter and windy from the recent snowstorm.  We donned all our snow gear and drove up prepared for anything.

Turned out it was super fun!!  I think we spend about an hour combing the beach.  All sorts of shells and rocks were exposed from the rough winter seas.  Our gear kept us relatively warm and dry ... except for Meggie who got overtaken by at least one rogue wave and came home (several hours later since we stopped for pizza) with about a cup of freezing cold sea water in each boot!
