Harold Parker Hike! Best part was freeing stubborn icebergs from the shore and launching them into the lake with lots of "spies" (pinecones).

Easter!
This year I let the bunny out of the bag and told Vivie that there really was no Easter Bunny. She was down in the basement with me getting supplies to decorate our eggs. I had thought about it a little and figured this was one we could let go. Does anyone really believe there's a bunny delivering eggs?
Neither Viv nor Pip seemed surprised. They said as long as Phil and I promised to still hid the eggs, they were fine with it.
So this year's hunt was perhaps without a little of the magic, but it was still fun!

Growney Egg Hunt
We were invited to a fabulous Easter Egg Hunt at the Growney's this year. So many great families from the community and lots of fun! Too bad Meggie and Dad missed it. Poor Meggie spent the night before throwing up repeatedly. Ugh.

Cabin Fever
Vivie got this fun blanket from Grammy Bresler in her Easter package. She loves it. Perfect size for rolling up in. But who knew she would go outside to do it?
It was quite cold ... maybe in the 40's and not really sunny at all. Me and Meg were inside chatting, contemplating an Elmo video when we realized she was missing. Here we found her...
It's hard to fit both of them in the blanket and Meggie was not pleased!
Making Colors
New Piano!
After carting our family's piano up from PA and moving it from Melrose to temporary storage to here, I finally had a tuner come look at it. Told me it was worth -$300 because that's what it would take to get rid of it. Sob. It was hard to hear, but I talked with over with George and Mom and they both gave me the blessing to get rid of it.
We found this beauty for sale on Craigslist and had it delivered. It plays wonderfully and now Pip and Vivie can practice on a properly tuned instrument. Bonus ... all the keys work! They've been taking lessons for about 3 months now and can follow the book without my help!

Devilish Little Green Man
Can never find him, but that crazy little Leprechaun seems to have scampered all about our yard this St. Patty's day. He left little green tissue paper bags of green jelly beans in the yard. Plus he even peed green pee into our toilet and didn't flush! Rude!

Sleepover
Pip and Viv reading a star wars book in bed. We often let them sleep together on weekends and these noodles are best buds chatting and laughing the night away.

I did it MYSELF
Meggie's turn to insist that she does everything HERSELF. This requires much extra patience from all. Her seat belt 5-point buckle, the doors at school, her shoes, her pants, her jacket, her socks.
Who cares if it ends up upside down??
I did it!
Working on getting the socks off!

Reading
It is absolutely amazing to listen to Pip read. He's come so amazingly far this year. Here his is reading to us now at nighttime!!
One again, Meggie takes note and does her own reading now too!
Highlights
When the Highlights magazine arrives each month it is a lot of fun. Favorite page is always the one where they have to find the items hidden in the picture.
Meggie doesn't quite get what the fuss is all about, but she grabs her hown paper and pencil and works diligently too!
Car washing
Any excuse to use the hose!!! Washed both cars for me! Thank goodness the garage hose has warm water!
Dead Man's Drop
Word has it this is Dead Man's Drop, a hill on the Bear Hill golf course in Stoneham. It was warm and a bit slushy, but we were eager to check it out.
Took a lot of effort to patch this jump together ... me and Meggie rocked it!
