Ice cream social

This is just a cute video of the kids enjoying some ice cream after dinner.  I was getting my hair done, no one was rushing.  Just hanging out.

Pip's Valentine's photoshoot

Not to be outdone by Vivie's awesome Valentine, Pip decided he wanted to go for pretzel arrows stuck with red jelly heart arrowheads.  Sounded like a plan.  I had him get his bow and taped a heart to an arrow, added Meg, and took some shots.

Here's the winning shot, all glammed up!

The jelly hearts were not to be found and licorice would not stick.  But melted starburst were perfect!  Pip, meanwhile, impressed me by writing the names of all his classmates onto red paper and cutting them out for the name tags!

Meg Walks

Over the last 3 weeks all Meg has wanted to do was walk.  She started cruising, and then taking a few steps here and there, gradually working her way to independence.  It's literally all she wanted to do.  Forget toys, they were dead to her.  She'd just crawl to something to hold on to, pull herself up, and try to walk.  Repeat.

Here are some videos of her progress.

Pushing buttons!

Just realized Meg had figured out this apple contraption on her bouncer!  She wasn't into repeating herself for the camera, but eventually she relented!

Thirsty Thursdays

Pip had an Art Class after school for a couple of months and I eventually learned Grace's Mom, my friend Lora, sort of chaperoned the class.  She volunteered to bring him home afterwards and Thirst Thursdays were born!  The Patterson's come too and we have wine and make dinner while the kids play.  Every eats and has fun before we all head off home to bed.  Great tradition!!

Here we are for the first week, making pizzas!

Making bubbles

This was a happy moment in an otherwise very sick month for Meg.  She went down hard over MLK day and rebounded only for a bit, then down hard again through mid-February.  Gotta remember there were happy moments in there too!

Bubbling at Daddy!

Spell-a-thon!

Pip's school was having a spell-a-thon.  I figured for the older grades ... not kindergarten, right?  Wrong!  He got a list of 7 words and practiced with Phil for a week or so.  Then the big day!  6 correct!  He earned 6 ice cream coupons!  We were so proud!
